Exactly 1 month and 29 days....

...since I'm SEEN my best friend! I got the chance to hang out with my beloved Megan Sara, my bestest friend [aka BIFFLE]. It happened spur of the moment and she agreed to go to the local coffee shop with me, but we ended up going to Margarita's for Pina Coladas [imagine that], cheese dip, tacos, and quesadillas....THEN we went to Perks [the coffee shop]. It's funny, we ALWAYS end up gathering so many dramatic tales of our boyfriends and crazy everyday life and sit and talk for hours. We're hoping to have more time for us this month. I really miss her. I don't think we've EVER gone this long.....literally, the DAY AFTER my birthday. Ridiculous.

Tomorrow I go to work and then get to see David! HOORAY!!!

I went tanning again today for 10 minutes, and burnt myself even more. I'm having a day off tomorrow....probably, unless I tan before work. We'll see how bad I look tomorrow. I'm pretty pink. =/

Also, I cracked my lip the other day at work. They were apparently VERY dry and now it hurts really bad. I cracked it RIGHT down the middle. UGH! Yuck.

I can't sleep.

My contacts are practically fusing to my eyes and my bed is half made, but I just can't seem to feel that drifty-feeling come along.

This is sad, but I haven't gotten to see David since Saturday [and I won't get to see him again until Thursday], and I'm missing him. UGH! :(

I've been online practically all night looking up bright and cheery things like clothes and cupcakes and checking all my different email accounts....which isn't really bright nor cheery.

*Sigh*. Life.

I'm going to listen to a few more songs on my playlist, finish this, and force my eyelids closed. I'm sure I'll pass out as soon as my head hits the pillow. =/

I miss creating things. I got a kit from Alissa's class on the 31st and I pretty much finished it. I need to get the stamps that she used to stamp a page....or just use what I have.....because THAT'D be convienient.

The Postal Service brings back so many memories. Most importantly, my Grandma's house [baths]....but also, since *the unmentionable* burned me the cd. His first gift to me. :( What a way to ruin a perfectly AMAZING band.
I need to detox my brain....

Gerkie's chillin' on my bed with me. That always makes me happy. The sheets are clean too, so she's loving it equally as well. I need to put the pillowcases on.

I think I have insomnia. Dang..

Saturday [if I don't post until then], David and I are going to go see What Happens in Vegas at the Paradiso. I figured I save him the "pain" of Sex and the City [saving THAT for Karrie--from work].

June rings in THE 7 NIGHTS OF CLEANING. A personal "goal" I don't see happening. :(
I can't be motivated to do anything, no matter what. I just need one of those vacumms from WHOSVILLE to suck everything up. ;)

OH! My lovely mother bought me an unlimited tanning package at the tanning place RIGHT DOWN THE STREET from the house, so I'm thinking about going every or every other day...yeah yeah, I know that's alot, but I need it. I don't tan easy. I'm already starting to see results after just the first time in AWHILE [I started at 7, when I think 5 is the recommended]. Eh..whatever.

As odd as it sounds...

David and I went to a Fish Fry at a house owned by members of the car club. It was really kinda fun, for being so DANG hot!!!

The members all brought their cars. One lady, named Patricia, let David take me for a ride in her antique, automatic Mini Cooper. VERY cute...

Loads of people were watching the Indy 300. I can't get into that crap.... =X
Something with milk at the end. Double YUCK!

The fish, fries, fruit were ALL wonderful. THe BEST darn catfish I've ever had. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I couldn't help but to over endulge.

Later we went to Plato's Closet [my *NEW* addiction]. David really helps out! We ended up walking out with three skirts and a dress. He got the dress and a skirt and I bought the other two skirts. He SPOILS the mess out of me, and for once, I honestly know what it's like to be able to be spoiled by a guy. I love him with all I've got! [And no, NOT for the money.]

Afterwards, he ended up taking me back to Eclectica, where I normally leave the car, to join the ladies for an employee crop [which I believe we need WAYYY more of!!!]. I didn't cry, thankfully, but I just can't believe that Michelle is moving! It hasn't sunk in yet...
I'm REALLY going to miss her. She's my BFF! ;)

My mom and I are going to pick strawberries today. I'm really excited, and I'm thinking that I might want to change into warmer clothes. It's overcast and I don't want it to rain and be in shorts and flip flops. YUCK!

Okay, so that was unexpected fun. We got all ready and went to Wal-Mart to pick up containers and snacks. I ended up getting one of the new Mt. Dews [Supernova, to keep with our "strawberry theme"]. It's really pretty good. Lol...duh!



Anywho...picked strawberries and then went to McDonald's to eat. I got a Mighty Kids meal with a purse. I can be SUCH a dork. =/

I finished the pages to the faux mini book kit I bought from the store. It's looking mighty cute. All I have to do now is sand the edges, cover the chip people, and add the Doodlebug rubons and PICTURES!!! :)

Tomorrow is David and my 3 month anniversary. I'm going to lunch with him and then after work, I think we're doing something at the house for dinner. I have a special surprise for him COVERED in chocolate.... ;) [hint: HAND PICKED!]

Saturday means ANOTEHR PICNIC!!! YAY!! I am super excited.

This is turning out to be a bummer of a year...

Not only did Sam pass away, but my brother's friend [whom I knew as well], David Mister has since passed. He was 25 years old and died from, what we know as, a siezure. Things just seem so wrong.



Not to mention, my friend, Michelle, has been overcome by the sad news of her IVF results. These things just shouldn't be happening.

On top of things, I lost a boyfriend and gained another [personal accomplishment in my eyes].

My REALLY GREAT friend, Priscilla, and her husband [another good friend] Trae, are moving 6 hours away to Knoxville. A spur of the moment decision.

FURTHERMORE, I have no idea what I want to do with my life, because [LET'S BE HONEST] I CAN'T be a housewife, full-time, with a part-time job on the side working retail. That is a nice goal to attain.
I don't want to teach or anything. I just want to have fun and do as much as I can possibly do before I die.

With how things are, who knows? Life is too short to get sucked up in the here and now. You HAVE to live your own life the way in which you desire. There should be no limits to what you can attain.

Happy Mother's Day!

So to all the mothers out there, a very happy, HAPPY Mother's Day! :)

Here's what I made for my mom:
A scrapbook page to add a photo from tomorrow onto. Made with paper from the new Wild Asparagus line, May Arts sheer blue and purple ribbon, staples, and cardstock.




AND, I made her a card using the same line and embellishments from scraps.




Also, on my way home from David's [we battled the storm], I spotted Tommy ["our" tomcat] on the walkway sniffing at something. He kept poking his head into the weeds and then jumping back. He looked so adorable and at first glance I just assumed it was a bug. Then the something MOVED and I thought it was a snake and got scared thinking he was going to get bit. I hurriedly gathered my things and opened the door. Tommy started to run up to me and then proudly walked to where the "THING" was and kept going. As I stared down at the tail of a slimey critter, I look hard and realize just what it is. THANKFULLY Tommy left it entact and unharmed. I ran upstairs to get Justin and told my mom to come too. Here's what I found.

Yesterday's graduation.

So yesterday my brother graduated from college [with honors] with his bachlors of business. I ended up making him a card, from scratch.





I'm pretty pleased. He really liked it. I'm pretty sure he'll hold on to it. He's not the kind of brother to throw out the things that I make him.
On the "DL", I very proud of him. He's done very well and I'm sure he won't have to worry about the "REAL WORLD" or anything like that. He's gonna be fine.

Today I'm going with David to Mississippi to a car show/meet. His car club that he and his dad are a part of are all driving their British cars to Mississippi to meet up and have like a picnic at one of the guys' estates[?] I'm super excited and I really hope I dress alright for it and whatnot, with all the rain....I'm not sure how the ground and whatnot will be there.

I'm taking my mom's camera to take pictures [since my memory card is full and we won't have time to run by Wal-Mart or whereever to get my photos onto a cd]. I'll hopefully scrap them later.

Tonight he'll get to meet my Grandparents and we're going to grill out and socialize. I can't wait!
Maybe we can go to a movie later or something. =/

Tomorrow=CINCO DE MAYO!!!
I'm hoping that David and I can head out into Memphis and do a little drinking, since I'm off work and, HELLO, it is a national drinking day. Haha....

I'm happy and excited. The remainder of this weekend should be GREAT! Plus Monday, if all goes according to plan.

i'm so excited. i'm going to meet up with one of the girls in my marriage and the family class to study on campus, then i'll go see david and we MAY just go to the park and have a picnic. wouldn't that be lovely? not sure what tomorrow brings, just hope it's GOOD WEATHER!!!! ;)

What an interestingly boring day. School brought NOTHING new, just reviews for the upcoming tests, err...EXAMS! I can't wait for this installment to be OVER with! I'm completely exhausted. I'm ready for tanning, working, hanging out with folks, and BACK to schooling [summer school].

It seems that with the rise of gas, comes terrible consequences. I have summer school on mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays. All at the main U of M campus. I'm going to be so screwed. Good thing is, they aren't early morning classes, so I'll beat rush hour...and also, it leaves gaps for David and I to see each other, but not enough for a good shift at E. I'll have to push back my availability to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Hopefully, I can have a set schedule over the summer, where I'll be working all three days. I need it....BADLY!
Money will be tight[er] and more than likely be put towards gas and gas alone. I'm terrified about what MORE I could possibly do to try and get myself out of the poverty level. Living paycheck to paycheck just doesn't cut it anymore. I'm going to start paying bills and hopefully one day move out and get a new [CUTE] car. All this will cost me, and if I'm pushing it now, what happens when I cut back my availability and gas is on the rise?

I can't get another job, because I don't have the time, patience, or energy for it. School and Eclectica is all I need on my mind. I just need a solution.

I also need to stop with the tabs. Under $15. NO more!
This is getting ridiculous. I can't afford this, plus Michelle's group, plus gas, plus BARELY having enough for food for work or a Starbucks every now and then. UGH! All this is making my head hurt....

I have a final tomorrow. I'm not really ready, but it's easy. I'll review tomorrow morning, WITH COFFEE [I haven't had coffee in about 4 days]!!!



I need to relax. You know, I haven't even had time to START reading the "not-so new" Harry Potter. Wow...that hurts to admit.

Maybe I'll do the garage sale and get some "money" [i.e. giftcard] so I can start saving and plus, I'll get rid of some of my stash...I'm growing bored anyway.

AHHHH.....hooray for complaining. I feel a little better now. *WHEW!*

I'm really digging the song from Brett Dennen called "Ain't No Reason". You might have seen it on Jay Leno the other night. I didn't like it that much then, but I couldn't change the channel or take my eyes off the screen.

I have a makeup test tomorrow. I failed [along with all but 12 students in all his classes] with a 38! YIKES!!!!
I'm going to have my work cut out for me. I've NEVER been good at standardized tests, or tests in general. I don't freak out....it's just I can't do them. I can study for hours or not even study at all or anywhere in between, and the results are ALWAYS the same. I win some, I lose some.

Speaking of, the first paper I wrote and BS'ed in my history class I recieved a 95 on, and the second that I thought I NAILED.....a freaking 78.
UGH!

I just can't wait to get this semester over with and breathe. I think the stress just got to me from having to switch schools and adjust. I was really hoping for Dean's List my first semester at Memphis, and I'm still hoping, but....we'll see.

I need to just get away and relax. Somewhere OUT of Memphis. Florida was JUST in my grasp, yet, I HAVE NO MONEY...
I needed to be saving up for QUITE some time. I don't see me leaving this area for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

Uhh...I need to go to bed. Typing late at night usually doesn't do me much good. I end up posting about things that I shouldn't or whatever.

I'm 21.

It's nice. I can now go out and get a drink and feel super grown up.....and spend a fortune! Ugh! Drinks cost more than a meal.

On the 5th, David ended up FINALLY meeting my parents. I think my mom and dad were impressed. SURPRISE! He brought me MORE daffodils! I freaking bunch too! I swear, probably 21, with some having 2 on 1. :)

My dad "grilled" him a little, which was okay. Then, Justin, Tiffany, David, and I all headed to Memphis to the Fox and Hound to TRY to watch the Memphis game. It was packed out, so David just suggested we all go back to his place to watch it, and with only a few minutes into it, we made it.

Free drinks for the gang [not me, surprise!] and a seat. I did have a sip of Yager. UGH!!! Never again.

Then we all headed back out to Memphis [Justin and Tiffany went to Bennigans; David and I went to Clark Tower].

The Tower Room is AMAZING! I highly recommend it. I had a glass of White Zinfendel and pasta.

The night was great. I didn't get drunk or anything, and that's EXACTLY how I wanted it. I have NO desire to drink that much.....ever. Ugh!


Yesterday, I met up with my best friends, Megan and Cassandra, and Greg [Megan's boyfriend] and David at Chili's in Millington. Megan and I got pina colada's. YUM!

That's about it. I'm happy.
I can start hanging out with my brother and Tiffany more. I feel more grown up, but at the same time, I don't feel like anything's changed.

What a long day...

I'm so exhausted. Mentally and physically...

I need to take a shower and clean, but I can't be bothered to move right now. UGH!! HGTV is keeping me company. I've been having a rough night. I'm learning that old habits don't die so hard.

Mad props to Cindy. She's picking me up some fun-lovin' California fabrics. I'm curious as to what I'm going to do with it. Something will come to me, I'm sure. I have a whole bag of "fluff" to stuff pillows with, so that'll probably be part of my idea.

I'm also trading some goods with Linda, in Denmark. I've GOT to start cleaning and getting things together. When I'm done renovating, I'm going to have a scrapbook nook in my room, hopefully I'll have enough space. =X

I've been buying A LOT of stamps. I need to get some clear thin cd holders and use one of my storage bins for stamps. Blah...

I think I'd LOVE to have some music sheets. I need an insider's scoop!

My dad FINALLY went out and got me some daffodils for by the birdfeeder. He ended up mowing over [and killing] the ones that I pulled from the old woods that USED to be behind our house, so they had special meaning to them. At least now I have beautiful daffodils that he CAN'T and WON'T destroy. PLUS, in the summer, sunflowers grow there too, because of the birdfeeder. :)
But for starters....


OH, and just before bed....this is probably the sexiest thing I've seen in AGES!!! :)

I absolutely LOVE birds. They're becoming the pattern I can't seem to put down. Anything that comes into the store, if it has birds, count of the fact that I've got it!

*NEW* swap that I have to prepare for. I've decided to go out of a limb [though I told myself I need to calm down with the swaps] and participate in the Muses' Clearly Acrylic Mini Book Tastefully Naughty Swap. Hehehe....I'm really excited to see how it turns out. I have something of what I want to do. I need a corset stamp though. :(

1. HELP! I want to find more things with cupcakes and brights. I get bored with some of the products I see out there. There's a VERY limited supply of cupcakes available, that I've seen. I'm not talking entirely scrapbook related, just things I can branch off from. I need some ideas. I want to get started doing some things for Etsy. Woo....only problem, I don't really have much time to create things and also, it won't be for a while. Maybe in the summer....
Also, I'm such a sucker. I need to just cut up my paper and go to town with it. Make tags, frames, cards, magnets, scrapbook layouts, altered items....you name it.

3. I need cupcake buddies! I'm thinking an entire day dedicated to cupcakes: making, baking, painting, daydreaming about, and endulging.

I was supposed to be born on my Mom's birthday [Saturday, the 22nd], but instead, I made me grand entrance exactly two weeks later. :)

AHHH!!! I'm feeling really creative right now. Too bad I have to get off here and get ready for work. I'll be picking up my acrylic pieces for the swap today. I need to get to work on stuff for my Mom tonight, finishing up the store sample for next week, and buy the supplies for the swap. I'll post pictures of what I create this weekend, next week.

i can't wait to see what we come back with. hanging with her gives me new insight and i get to be more myself than.....well, me.

*i KNOW that didn't make sense. i'm still kinda medicated*

i'm not going into details on just WHAT i've been going through, but it was, undoubtedly the flu. i made the decision last night to REFUSE the ER, and instead, watched hgtv and curled up on the couch with gerkie. she's been my little nurse the entire time.

the ONLY downside of coming out of a coma now is school and also the fact that i'll have to put in my contacts, THINK about make-up, and actually get dressed.....three things that have been OUT OF THE QUESTION these past few days [and nights]. i've also kept my hair all nice and wavy....

i think, if time and weather provides, i'll go out and pick a four-leaf clover or two. depending on if it's a good luck day or not. sometimes, they're hidden.

i need to get something to eat. something that won't hurt my tum-tum. ugh! being sick is NOT fun. i swear....

Okay Marci!

So, apparently I've been tagged by the great and lovely, Marci.

Seven weird and random things about me:

1. I'm extremely shy, believe it or not.
2. I'm not a fan of most jewelry. In fact, I don't like large gems [i.e. diamonds].
3. I have only ever hit ONE creature, that I know of, while driving [a snake].
4. I am a sucker for pretty much ANYTHING artsy.
5. I probably have more Viagra sticky notes than I do scrapbook paper and embelishments, combined [the ladies I work with know EXACTLY what I'm talking about]!
6. I'm addicted to pastries, mainly cupcakes and anything with them.
7. I am an internet junkie and a Myspace & Etsy freak! :)

I know, lame. I can't think of anything. I don't think I'm going to tag others, though I'm supposed to tag seven others. =/
